The British Basketball League (BBL) has confirmed that our BBL Trophy First Round tie against Scottish side Sony Centre Fury will take place on the 9th of January 2022, with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m.
Cheshire have advanced past the first round of the Trophy in each of the last six seasons, with their last opening round loss coming against the Plymouth Raiders way back in the 2014-15 season.
Phoenix last lifted the Trophy in the 2003-04 season, under the ‘Chester Jets’ name. They were knocked out of last year’s edition by the Glasgow Rocks in the Quarter-Final stage.
The final of the tournament will be held in Glasgow at the Emirates Arena, on the 20 March 2022.
